Rastro Herrera Slaughter House

Rastro Herrera is keeping the tradition alive of providing local, free-range, all-natural fed animals for purchase to the community. This small slaughterhouse prides itself on its commitment to cleanliness, adhering to health standards, and taking significant care in the upkeep of their animals. Family owned and operated since 2012, Rastro Herrera provides the sale of whole cows, pigs, and goats, butchered and packaged at their facility for individual consumption. Located in Laveen, AZ their animals have space to roam and are fed an all-natural diet of corn, alfalfa, and hay; growth hormones are never used. Depending on the time of year, sizes can vary and prices are based on size. Recently, with the aid of Prestamos, CDFI, Rastro Herrera was able to purchase 13 more acres of land to expand operations. With this new investment, they will be able to not only continue providing the high-quality products they are known for, but also will be renting space to those who need a good home for their livestock.
