Houston’s metro area

Considered as the 5th largest metropolitan area in the United States and the most ethnically and diverse mayor city in the country, Houston, Texas is now part of Prestamos CDFI area of influence to help small business owners to grow. The eclectic business atmosphere and its 44% of Hispanic population make Houston one of our main business hubs in the country.

Prestamos CDFI impact

Post Houston transformed the 5.5 acre building’s roof platform into a park and farm, the space will include green park space, recreational areas, walking trails, and space to grow organic produce. This project has also received recognition and support from the City of Houston because of its economic impact.

Post Houston has a projected total investment of $260 million, creating 2,200 full jobs, 25,000 sq ft of coworking space and 100,000 sq ft of traditional office space impacting 19,151 low-income community residents and 13,131 low-income persons. The goal is to increase low income community resident’s access to “training, jobs, and business opportunities”

How we help Houston’s small businesses

Our project has been developed in a severely distressed census tract with poverty at 20.4%, inside a FEMA Disaster area, and inside a Houston Tax Increment Reinvestment Zone, helping businesses and local organizations to achieve the regional economic development plan of the Houston-Galveston region through our initiatives.
