In the sweltering Arizona summer, Angela found herself facing a challenge that many pet owners encounter—providing a safe and sanitary space for her two newly adopted pups to play and stay active. Recognizing this gap in the market, she envisioned a solution: Arizona’s first self-service dog wash and indoor gym. With this dream in mind, Paws 48 was born.
Turning a vision into reality, however, required more than just an idea. Angela knew she needed expert guidance and financial planning to bring Paws 48 to life. That’s when she turned to Prestamos CDFI.
Angela began working with Prestamos in October 2022, receiving support in developing a solid business plan and two-year financial projections to fully understand her startup costs. She attended several Women’s Business Center (WBC) workshops, gaining valuable insights that helped refine her business direction. When she pivoted to a new approach, Prestamos assisted her in updating her business plan and financial projections accordingly.
Beyond planning, Prestamos played a crucial role in helping Angela navigate key aspects of launching Paws 48. From assisting with business registration to supporting website development and providing training on website and social media management, Prestamos ensured that Angela had the tools she needed to succeed. This included helping her prepare for the launch of her nonprofit initiative, Paws On Deck.
On January 25, 2025, Paws 48 celebrated its grand opening in Phoenix! Prestamos was there to support Angela in the final steps, from updating her Google Business listing to providing marketing assistance through social media promotion.
